  Où est la jatte de lait?

Où est la jatte de lait?
Le chat erre d'un toit à l'autre,
le chat noir.
Son cou est blanc,
et c'est le crépuscule.
Le ciel s'assombrit..
Noire est déjà la terre.
L'arbre,
le corbeau,
la cruche.
Et mon visage?
Je l'ai enfoui dans mes mains.
Où est la jatte de lait?

  
וווּ איז דאָס שיסעלע מיט מילך?

וווּ איז דאָס שיסעלע מיט מילך?
די קאַץ בלאָנדזשעט פֿון דאַך צו דאַך,
די שוואַרצע קאַץ.
איר האַלדז איז ווײַס,
און ס´איז פֿאַרנאַכט.
דער הימל ווערט טונקל.
די ערד איז שוין שוואַרץ.
דער בוים,
דער קראָ,
דער קרוג.
און מײַן פּנים?
כ´האָב עס אַרײַנגענומען אין די הענט.
וווּ איז דאָס שיסעלע מיט מילך?
